Responsibilities
Management Responsibility: The Procurement Department is in charge of overseeing compliance with this policy as well as other ethical and legal requirements pertaining to modern slavery. The day-to-day execution of this policy, together with evaluating its efficacy, answering questions, and carrying out internal audits, is essentially the responsibility of the group purchasing director.
Employee Responsibility: All employees have a responsibility to comprehend and abide by this policy, including directors, officers, agency staff, seconded staff, volunteers, and agents. It is the duty of every employee to alert their management or the procurement department of any issues, suspicions, or violations of this policy.
Compliance Obligations
Prevention and Detection: We are dedicated to avoiding and identifying modern slavery throughout our supply chain and corporate operations. This entails detecting and evaluating potential risks, putting in place efficient systems and controls, and taking the necessary steps to mitigate and handle any risks that are found.
Reporting: All workers are urged to immediately report any issues or suspicions of modern slavery. You should alert your manager or the procurement department if you think or suspect there has been or will be a violation of this policy. Through our Whistleblowing Policy, we have developed the necessary framework to support anonymous and confidential reporting.
Non-Retaliation: RT TECH SOLUTIONS is committed to fostering an atmosphere where people feel safe and protected when raising legitimate concerns. We forbid any sort of reprisal against anyone who reports concerns about modern slavery, even if those worries turn out to be unfounded.
Transparency and Due Diligence
Supplier Standards: We anticipate that our vendors, contractors, and business associates will share our dedication to eradicating modern slavery. Our contracts specifically forbid the use of slavery or servitude, as well as coerced, compulsory, or trafficked labor. In order to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain, we anticipate our suppliers to cascade these standards to their own suppliers.
Training and Awareness: Our staff and the appropriate people in our supply chain receive training on this policy and the risks posed by modern slavery. Our goal is to spread awareness about the risks of modern slavery and to encourage a culture of accountability and vigilance.
